Church family life
"Encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing" (1 Thessalonians 5v11)

"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess... and let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds." (Hebrews 10v23-24)
Being and growing as a Christian is about much more than just Sunday mornings. The Good news about Jesus Christ impacts all of life. We meet together during the week in planned and spontaneous ways to serve one another, and local people.
We want our life together to
-
help us to grow as we come to know Jesus better, and
-
equip and empower us to make him known.
We are committed to helping every member of the church family to grow as a disciple of Christ, and to be equipped to use their gifts and life situation for God's glory, and the building up of others.
One of the key ways that we encourage each other is by meeting in smaller groups during the week.
Midweek groups are a great place to connect our day-to-day lives with our Christian faith, and to help each other grow as Christians. They are a chance to:
-
ask our questions,
-
study the Bible together to connect it to our lives,
-
deepen friendships, and
-
pray for each other.
The groups range in type to fit with the lives of their members and meet at a range of times and places.
Life as part of a community means spending time together. Sometimes that is done in more organised ways, such as:
-
men's and women's discipling events, teaching and socials,
-
trips to external conferences or teaching days,
-
open houses, and
-
church-wide quizzes, music nights and fundays
More often, it happens spontaneously, as we meet together to serve and encourage one another in the ordinary course of life. Meals in each others homes, babysitting, moving house: we are a church family united by Jesus.
