St Cuthbert’s is a group of people of different ages, backgrounds and life experiences who meet together

to know Jesus and to make him known.

We're persuaded that the message about Jesus is good news for everyone - whoever we are, whatever our life situation.  We've found that, the more we look into it, the more the gospel makes sense of life, and draws us to know God's life-changing mercy, love and glory.

Mark grew up living in various capital cities - but mainly London.  He met Katy - his wife - at university, after which Katy worked for a church in Sevenoaks and Mark moved to London to work for an American bank.  They got married in 2002, and now have two young boys.

Mark became a Christian at University - slowly - after asking lots of questions, raising plenty of objections.  To his surprise at the time, he found satisfying answers in the Bible and - most of all - in Jesus.

Before going to theological college in 2009, Mark spent 5 years working for a number of churches and church plants in central London ministering to men and young families.  Most recently he was an elder at St John's on the World End Estate, Chelsea.   After college, he served as curate at Grace Church Muswell Hill, and briefly as curate at St Cuthbert's before becoming vicar here in September 2015.

Mark loves helping other people to bring their questions to the Bible and find their answers in who Jesus is and everything he promises.  You're more likely to find him in cafes along Green Lanes chatting to someone with a Bible open than inside the church building.  He enjoys spending time with Katy and the boys, and (occasionally) running.

Mark is a foundation governor at St Michael at Bowes school.

Because there is so much confusion about what Christianity is,

we want to give people in our communities repeated chances

  • TO HEAR the Christian message straight-forwardly explained,

  • TO SEE people living as Christians, and

  • TO THINK about what it would mean to follow Jesus

Whether you come with a Christian faith or with questions to explore we’d love you to join us on Sundays or during the week.

We’re a Church of England church serving local people around Wood Green and Palmers Green.
